The Bachelor of Science Program in Hospitality and Hotel Administration is offered jointly by
the National Council for Hotel Management and the Indira Gandhi National Open University.
3 Years Program (six semesters) equips students with all the required skills, knowledge and
attitude to efficiently discharge supervisory responsibilities in the Hospitality Sector. The
program also involves in-depth laboratory work for students to acquire required knowledge
and skills standards in the operational areas of Food Production, Food & Beverage Service,
Front Office Operation, Housekeeping and providing managerial inputs in Hotel Accountancy,
Food Safety and Quality, Human Resource Management, Facility Planning, Financial
Management, Strategic Management, Tourism Marketing and Tourism Management.

About Post Graduate Diploma in
Accommodation Operation & Management |
|

|
Post Graduate Diploma in Accommodation Operation & Management is aimed at equipping
trainees with knowledge, attitude & skill for fundamentals of Front Office procedures /
Housekeeping for effective discharge of duties & responsibilities while working in hotels /
other hospitality establishments. The two semester course of 17 week each with 4 weeks I.T.
in second semester and 16 weeks I.T. after 2nd semester equips the trainees to take over
important positions in medium size and big hotels at supervisory and management level.
In view of the semester system of the program students will be permitted to join the second
semester even if they have failed to clear the examinations of the first semester. Similarly,
students will be permitted to go on Industrial Training after the completion of second
semester even if they have failed to clear the examinations of first or second semester.
Students will appear for failed subject(s) only in the subsequent examination. |
