| Minimum Qualification for Admission to 3 Years B.Sc. in Hospitality & Hotel
Administration is a pass in the examination of 10+2 system of Senior
Secondary Education or its equivalent with English as one of the subjects. Candidate must
have passed English as a subject of studies (Core/Elective/Functioner) in the qualifying
examination. Those appearing in 10+2 or equivalent examination can appear in JEE 2013 on
provisional basis. Provisional admissions will stand cancelled if proof of having passed the
qualifying examination (10+2 or its equivalent) is not submitted at the time of counseling or
at the time of admission or latest by 30.09.2013. Admission will be subject to verification of
facts from the original certificates / documents to be produced by the candidates at the time
of counseling and at the time of actual admission to the Institute. Even after admission to an
Institute, if an applicant is at a later date found ineligible on account of having submitted false
information or testimonials or for having suppressed any material information or testimonials
his / her admission will be cancelled and the fee paid will also be forfeited. Decision of National
Council in this regard shall be final.
Upper Age Limit for Admission to 3 Years B.Sc. in Hospitality & Hotel Administration
For candidates from General and OBC categories upper age limit is 22 years as on 1.7.2013,
therefore, only those candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 1.7.1991 eligible to
apply. In the case of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates upper age limit is 25
years as on 1.7.2013, as such only those SC / ST candidates whose date of birth falls on or
after 1.7.1988 will be eligible. Upper age limit for Physically Challenged candidates shall be
reckoned as per the category he / she belongs to since Physically Challenged Category
candidates may belong to General / SC / ST / OBC categories. Date of birth as recorded in the
Secondary Education Board / Pre-University Certificate is the only authentic proof that will be
accepted. At the time of counseling, this certificate must be produced in original as a proof of
age, failing which the candidate will not be considered for counseling / admissions.
Minimum Qualification for
Admission to PGAO&M is Graduation in any stream from a
recognize University.
Minimum qualification for admission to Diploma Courses in Food Production and Food &
Beverage Service is a clear pass in the final examination of 10+2 system of Senior Secondary Examination or its equivalent, with English. Admission will be subject to verification of facts
from the original certificates / documents to be produced by the candidates. Decision of the
institute regarding the eligibility shall be final. Even after admission to the Institute if an
applicant is at a later date found ineligible on account of supplying false information of false
testimonials or for having suppressed any material information, his / her admission will be
cancelled and the fee paid will also be forfeited.
Age Limit for Admission to Diploma Courses
25 years for General / PH and 28 years for SC / BC candidates as on 1.7.2013. Candidates
belonging to General and Physically Handicapped Categories whose date of birth falls on or
after 1.7.1988 are eligible. In the case of Scheduled Caste and Backward Class candidates,
upper age limit is relax-able by 3 years. For those two categories (SC & BC) candidates born
on or after 1.7.1985 will be eligible. Date of birth as recorded in the Secondary Education
Board / Pre-University Certificate is the only authentic proof that will be accepted. At the time
of interview, this certificate must be produced in original as a proof of age failing which the
candidate will not be considered for interview.
Physical Fitness
All qualified candidates will have to submit a physical fitness certificate from a Registered
Medical Practitioner in the prescribed format given in this Brochure at the time of admission.
